constantly
the thick scent hanging in the air
disorienting me
making me hear words other than those spoken
allowing me to think things otherwise forbidden
pushing me towards realizations that are false and deceiving
but that scent
makes everything so intoxicating
that everything that i once believed to be true about myself
now
turns
out
to
be
lies
