2010-12-21 - 12:16 a.m. oh lord that voice i am not prepared to write about it *** ensconced in his tower feelin' so good about the world how did he know? really...how did he know? it was him, against the giant black abyss. all of those agape faces sucking in the majesty of the adored. i love him in the 70's...he sounds like he's lived, he's been through some serious shit. |"Burnin' Love" Hot shit, burning...simerring. A melting pot of what makes everything Memphis so nasty. It's a congealed mess of everything Southern...the Stax rhythm section, Hardin's piano. It's totally relentless. Wow.."I'm just a-hunka-hunka-..." 1972 It's MSG...the band is tight. Elvis is bored. Bored, and yet inspired. He is singing well, Ronnie is drumming well..really well. The TCB is absolutely exceptional.
